Amazon has announced the celebration of the 5th Literary Prize of Independent Authors in Spanish. The winner will receive a prize of five thousand dollars and will be offered a publishing contract with Amazon Publishing, in digital, printed and audio format. In addition, the work will be translated into English, so it will be available worldwide through Amazon.

Ismael Cala, bestseller author, communicator and speaker, will be part of the jury, along with Blanca Miosi, Fernando Gamboa and Isabel Acuña.

“It is a pleasure to support this wonderful initiative that amplifies Latin American voices and provides them with an unparalleled global platform in Spanish and English. I invite all authors to take up the challenge and submit their works, this could be the beginning of a great career” , said Cala.

Writers may submit their unpublished works through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), since the prize will be open to all authors who publish their book between July 1 and August 31, 2018 through the self-publishing service of Amazon.

To participate, authors must put their works on sale globally in all Amazon markets, both in print and digital format. They must also include the titles in KDP Select, establish a minimum price of 2.99 €, and include Literary Award2018 in the metadata field called “Search keywords”.
